Rétromobile 2026: An Exceptional Jubilee for the 50th Edition

banniere affiche reveal retro 26 fr 1

The 2026 edition of the Rétromobile show has just closed its doors and, once again, this unmissable event offered visitors the chance to admire some of the rarest and most priceless automobiles in the world. Celebrating its 50th edition, the Parisian show reaffirmed its status as a global temple of collectible automobiles. Among the “must-sees,” all the show’s usual icons were present: Ferrari 250 LM, F40, 250 GT Short Wheelbase, 1970s Porsche 911s, AC Cobra, pre-war Bugattis, the Jaguar E-Type, not to mention numerous cars that have made history at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Special mention goes to a truly historic moment: for the first time in France, the seven BMW Art Cars that competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans were brought together. This exceptional exhibition offered a unique journey where leading contemporary artists met racing legends, blending art and competition in a way that only BMW can achieve.

The stand dedicated to Steve McQueen paid tribute to the love of speed that guided the life of this iconic actor of the 1960s and 1970s. On display were several of his legendary vehicles, including the 1961 Triumph TR6 from The Great Escape, the 1971 Husqvarna 400 Cross, the 1971 Honda 250 SRM, the legendary 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback V8, as well as the Dodge Charger from the film Bullitt. A true homage to a timeless figure of cinema and motorsport.

A major new feature of this anniversary edition was the introduction of the “Ultimate Supercar Garage,” complementing the traditional classic car exhibition. This spectacular space evoked the golden era when Bugatti, Ferrari, Pagani, or Aston Martin were ever-present at the Geneva or Paris motor shows. Showcasing modern hypercars and exceptional supercars, this area captivated both heritage enthusiasts and fans of contemporary performance.
